Tanner M. Iskra

Sergeant Tanner Iskra is a native of Humptulips, Wash., and graduated from high school in 2003. Iskra enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2003 and reported to
recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) in San Diego, Calif. After basic training, Iskra reported to Camp Johnson, N.C., to attend the personnel administration

Following graduation, Iskra reported to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in Cherry Point, N.C. While stationed at Cherry Point, Iskra deployed to Iraqi in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he worked as an intelligence analyst.

In 2007, Iskra was reassigned as a combat videographer and attended the Defense Information School at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. Upon graduation, Iskra received orders to the Combat Visual Information Center in Quantico, Va. Iskra was then assigned to Headquarters Marine Corps Combat Camera at the Pentagon. While stationed at the Pentagon, Iskra produced, filmed and edited productions in support of the Commandant of the Marine Corps.

Iskra’s awards and decorations include two Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medals, two Good Conduct Medals, and a Meritorious Unit Citation.

Following graduation, Iskra will report to the Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools Combat Camera, Camp Johnson, North Carolina.
