Michael Juneau

MMM, Sergeant, USMC

Sergeant Michael Juneau is a native of New Orleans, LA., and graduated from John Ehret High School in 2006. In June 2006 Juneau enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and reported for basic training aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island, S.C.

After completing basic training, Juneau reported to Defense Information School, Ft George G Meade, MD. for Video Production Design he reported to 1st Marine Airwing in Okinawa, Japan as a combat videographer.

In July 2007, Juneau was attached to 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii for deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Feb 2008 he returned to Okinawa after his deployment and supported Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Foster until April 2009.

Juneau was transferred to Quantico, VA where he became the non commissioned officer in charge (NCOIC) of the motion media section. While serving as NCOIC, he helped produce and manage several projects.

Juneau was selected for the Syracuse University Military Motion Media Program in July 2011 and is currently attending the program.

His decorations include two Naval Achievement Medals, Operation Iraqi Campaign medal, and 3 Sea Service ribbons among other personal and unit awards.

Following graduation, Juneau will report to Marine Corps Base at Camp Lejeune, NC.
