Michael Brady


Staff Sergeant Michael Brady is a native of Lansing, MI, and graduated from C.D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge, VA. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 2005.

After basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX, Brady attended technical training at Fort George Meade, MD. Following the course, Brady reported to his first duty station at Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA. While stationed at Vandenberg, Brady worked on video productions involving space and missile launches.

In 2007, he was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he operated as a combat cameraman.

In 2008, Brady received orders to report to Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL. At Maxwell, Brady’s primary responsibility was to shoot and edit videos that supported the many military schools on the base, to include the Air War College, Air Command and Staff College, and the Air Force’s First Sergeant Academy.

In 2010, he deployed to Afghanistan where he operated as a video mentor for an Afghan Army Public Affairs unit.

His decorations include a Purple Heart, two Joint Service Commendation medals, an Air Force Commendation medal, two Air Force Achievement medals, and various personal and unit awards.

Following graduation, Brady will report to the Defense Media Activity (DMA) at Fort Meade, Md.
