Adrienne Burns

Sergeant Adrienne Burns is a native of Calabasas, Calif. She graduated from Agoura High School in 1999 and from California State University, Northridge with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature in 2006. Burns enlisted in the Army in 2008 as a public affairs specialist.

Following basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., Burns attended Advanced Individual Training at Ft. George G. Meade, Md., where she completed the Basic Public Affairs-Writer course. After graduation, Burns was assigned to the 18th Military Police Brigade in Mannheim, Germany, where she acted as the non-commissioned officer in charge of the public affairs office.

Burns’ awards include the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Good Conduct Medal, and the German marksmanship badge (Schützenschnur) in gold.

Following graduation, Burns will report to the Defense Information School as a public affairs instructor.
